I am honored to run for the position of President-Elect for New York State Art Teachers Association.  As a 20 year member of this organization, I am confident that I possess the personal and professional qualities that will sustain and nurture the momentum of this organization. My leadership style is transformational. As a transformational leader I believe in putting passion and energy into all of my endeavors. I want to be an agent of positive change. I have the ability to look into the future with innovative ideas as well as having the capability to self-reflect and learn from past. If elected, I will be open-minded by listening to the requests and concerns of the members. My experiences have allowed me to gain insight into the dynamics that drive decision making as well as an understanding of how decisions affect the organization as a whole.

As a lead teacher-mentor I have had the opportunity to inspire innovative approaches to problem-solving in new and veteran teachers. I have witnessed the difference innovation can make in the education of our youth. The sharing of my passion has cultivated leaders in both the academic and artistic community. Through these collaborative efforts, I have developed excellent working relationships with colleagues to ensure that they reach success and become life-long learners.
