    NYSATA has a range of publications  for teachers, administrators and students:

    NYSATA News
    The NYSATA News is a quarterly print publication that contains information vital to the field of art education in New York State. In addition to timely articles, advocacy information and current news about NYSATA initiatives is included. The News is published quarterly. The first issue each year goes to all art educators on the NYS BEDS List as well as our membership list. Subsequent issues are mailed to members and school or district members only.

    E-News Alerts
    E-News is a list serve for art educators and art education advocates. It is designed to disseminate urgent information, especially when a response from the field is needed. Important legislation, NYSED policy changes, and deadline reminders for NYSATA programs are circulated electronically through this publication. Members and non-members can be added to the E -news Alert list by providing their email address to the E-News editor.

    Curriculum Companion
    The New York State Art Teachers Association Visual Arts Curriculum Companion: a Standards based Core Curriculum for Grades Pre-K Through Commencement.

    The New York State Art Teachers Association has created a curriculum that addresses the NYS Learning Standards, synthesizes NYS Syllabi with local curricula drawn from across the state, and relies on the best practices and experience from the field to provide a comprehensive plan for visual art education.

    The Curriculum Companion is a sequential document that follows the NYS Standards through the Performance Indicators at each grade level. Beginning with the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design, educators move through art application and connections to other disciplines. The Scope and Sequence Section has been adopted by the New York State Education Department as the basis of the Visual Arts Core Curriculum Resource Guide.

    Speakers Bureau
    The NYSATA Board of Trustees has approved the development of a Professional Development Consulting Program in response to the new SED mandates requiring 175 hours of staff development over 5 years. School districts will be seeking consultants and programs to provide sessions for teachers, and it is our goal to provide meaningful presentations for art educators. Our initiative consists of a list of presenters who have developed expertise in specific areas of visual art education. These areas include , but are not limited to: Curriculum Development, Visual Arts Standards, Safety in the Art Room, Pedagogy, Art Advocacy, the NYSATA Portfolio Project, Art Assessment, Technology, Special Needs in the Classroom, NYSATA Advocacy Initiatives, Art Materials and Processes, Local Resources, and Retirement for Art Teachers.
