2020 Members' Art Exhibit

The conference has gone virtual this year and the Annual NYSATA Members Exhibit is still on! The Members Exhibit will be held in an online auction platform. We invite all NYSATA members* to participate in this special Members' Exhibit online auction event. All proceeds will benefit the NYSATA Student Scholarships fund.

Create a piece of 2-dimensional work that is exactly 10”x10”. Media, content, and style are your choice as long as it fits easily into an 11'x17' flat mailing envelope. Register and submit a high quality digital photograph of your work online by November 12, 2020. Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation with instructions for mailing your original work. No three-dimensional work can be accepted for donation. Registration is FREE for art pieces that are donated to the Student Scholarship benefit auction. Donated work is tax deductible (sale price will be e-mailed to you at the conclusion of the event).

All submitted work will be displayed in our online gallery and will qualify for the jury process for awards—cash prizes will be awarded! Donated works will be auctioned for a minimum bid of $25 and a reasonably priced “buy it now” option. Each art piece will be shipped to the winning bidder at the conclusion of the auction. DEADLINE TO REGISTER AND MAIL DONATED WORK IS NOVEMBER 12.

Want to participate but not donate your work? There is a $25 participation fee to enter work exhibited as not-for-sale. Non-donated work is still eligible for awards. If you are not donating, simply check the appropriate box on the form and submit payment with the digital image only—do not mail work. These works will be designated as SOLD or NFS at the beginning of the online auction. Images of 3-D work are welcome in this category.

With a few weeks of lead time, we hope you will consider creating art work for this special exhibit. This is a great opportunity for regions to offer a local workshop or event to connect with your fellow NYSATA community, create art, and nurture the artist/educator within.

*Conference registration not required for participation in this event
